Founded by Paul Sperry in 1935 amongst a sea-faring family, Paul’s innovating spirit led him to seek something beyond the sea and Navy. Inspired by a close call, a slippery deck and a dog’s paw’s, Sperry was born. The first boat show was born. By the ‘70s the Top-Siders become top of mind thanks to JFK. Each decade Sperry evolved Sperry with an athletic and lifestyle options and edges. Today, we can still celebrate the early years and buy the “original.”
